The Lexus 2015 RC F is proposing a great way so you can enjoy driving it without buying one, and that's using the Oculus Rift VR. The company built a virtual reality Lexus RC F with the same real car interior, and by wearing the VR headset, you can see yourself inside the car, and use foot pedals and the actual steering column to drive around a virtual track.

It's a great way to experience your favourite car, the car manufacturers could introduce their own platforms and let you virtually test their cars, but for now, it is not clear if you can feel the real behaviour of the car when on the road.

Skully AR-1 contains a a rear-view camera that will show you everything happening on your back directly on the helmet glass in front of your eyes ! Thats not all, the Skully is able to show you many other informations like speed, directions, fuel levels and more data that supposed to show up on the dashboard.

Also you will not be distracted from the street, the Skully AR-1 connect to your smartphone via bluetooth, and it will show you the caller ID, so you can answer your calls directly from the helmet.

Street directions are also very important, that why the Skully AR-1 helmet will show you navigation informations in front of you, it will guide you to your destination via your smartphone GPS, using video and voice assistance.

The startup did not forgot about entertainment, you can enjoy the music available on your smartphone directly on the helmet, and use it like a headset.

Jaguar and Land Rover Want To Display Your Cars DATA Directly On Your Windshield

Many developments and evolutions has been made to car's dashboards in the last few years to change the way you interact with your car and multimedia devices. but Jaguar came up with a whole new way to display car's Data and that is directly on the windshield !

In order to reduce your distraction off the road while driving, Jaguar is going to display the car speed, temperature, navigation graphics, and more Data, all on the windshield. and this is going to increase the driver's concentration. Also, the new system will includes displaying both racing line and braking guidance as well as virtual cones and ghost cars for more performance in the races and sport activities.

This is not all, you will also get rid of the use of buttons to access and control the dashboard, instead, a simple pre-programmed gestures and motions will offer you a full control of the system, which will reduce the physical button's number.

Dr. Wolfgang Epple, Director of Research and Technology, said: ""We have identified which functions still need to be controlled by physical buttons and which could be controlled by gesture and carefully calibrated motion sensors,The system is currently being tested on a number of features including sun-blinds, rear wipers and satellite navigation maps. It has the potential to be on sale within the next few years".

As an extension to this project, researchers are tending to replace the rear view mirrors with virtual displays, showing a 3D images provided by cameras using The Eye-tracking technology..

There is a no fixed date to release this project, but we would hopefully be able to use this technology soon.
