Many developments and evolutions has been made to car's dashboards in the last few years to change the way you interact with your car and multimedia devices. but Jaguar came up with a whole new way to display car's Data and that is directly on the windshield !

In order to reduce your distraction off the road while driving, Jaguar is going to display the car speed, temperature, navigation graphics, and more Data, all on the windshield. and this is going to increase the driver's concentration. Also, the new system will includes displaying both racing line and braking guidance as well as virtual cones and ghost cars for more performance in the races and sport activities.
This is not all, you will also get rid of the use of buttons to access and control the dashboard, instead, a simple pre-programmed gestures and motions will offer you a full control of the system, which will reduce the physical button's number.
Dr. Wolfgang Epple, Director of Research and Technology, said: ""We have identified which functions still need to be controlled by physical buttons and which could be controlled by gesture and carefully calibrated motion sensors,The system is currently being tested on a number of features including sun-blinds, rear wipers and satellite navigation maps. It has the potential to be on sale within the next few years".
As an extension to this project, researchers are tending to replace the rear view mirrors with virtual displays, showing a 3D images provided by cameras using The Eye-tracking technology..
There is a no fixed date to release this project, but we would hopefully be able to use this technology soon.
