After the sale of its mobile unit to Microsoft, Nokia has announced that they will invest an amount of 100 million dollars to work with start ups specialized in connected cars field.

After the three Giants Google, Apple and Microsoft have invested is connected cars, it is Nokia's turn to compete with them is this project, it is a new field
that is supposed to change the way of driving cars, maybe it will be easier and bring more fun.

The funding will be distributed on three major global markets which are China, the US and Europe. The funds are also intended for the dashboard mapping and location system called HERE, which is the former Nokia Maps.

HERE is already equipping a number of 10 million car in the world with their different services, HERE Auto (a GPS available in 95 country), HERE Auto Companion (GPS for Windows Phone) HERE Auto Cloud which provide traffic informations and HERE Traffic, the phone version of Here Auto Cloud.
