LaCie have just announced the launch of a new version of its famous Hard Drive, "Rugged". This version is provided with a more solid beautiful design, and a Thunderbolt integrated USB cable, so, there is no chance to forget your cable when you are in rush.
Rugged is also provided with an USB 3.0 port and certified IP54, which means that it is dust and water resistant, you can use it wherever you are.
The speed of the hard drive can reach the 387 MB/second, and it can handle 100GB in less than five minutes, these specs makes it very seductive for photographers and video makers that works in different types of places.
This Rugged new version will be available in July, for a price of $220, for the 1TB and the 2TB versions, you have to pay an amount of $500. It worth it for professionals.
