HTC was planning to unveil its own smartwatch this year, but now, the company communicated that the event will be delayed until 2015.
HTC want to hit the wearable market in a big way, so they could compete with the currently many existing competitors, Drew Bamford, the lead at HTC Creative Labs said "We think the strategy we were working on will get us there, but we want to take our time and get it right, We honestly don’t think anyone has gotten it right. The team responsible for developing wearables at HTC is taking its time to deliver a product compelling enough to wear one every day".
Jason Mackenzie, president of HTC America also said "We had originally planned to have a wearable launch in this time frame, It ended up just not being ready".
Anyway, we have to wait until 2015 to see the HTC smatwatch.
